Ghost Shrimp (Palaemonetes paludosus) is one of the most popular shrimp species in home aquariums. This malacostraca animal requires water with a temperature of 67°F to 76°F, pH 7.0 to 8.0, and moderately complex water is preferred. There are usually more females than males in wild populations, with 0.78 males for every female shrimp. In addition, a female shrimp can lay up to 85 eggs per clutch.
